The Tony Awards always feature a high degree of razzle-dazzle, but this year’s awards put special emphasis on feel-good fare from the theater world, namely from one of the night’s biggest winners, the musical “Kinky Boots.”

“Boots,” a flashy Broadway production telling the tale of a shoemaker and his cross-dressing partner, brought home the award for Best Musical.
